No, if you already have a domain name, you can simply type it in when making an order and the system will ask you whether you wish to transfer the domain name to Stablepoint or update the nameservers to 'link' your existing domain to your new hosting service with us.

If you don't already have a domain name, you can purchase one when you order your hosting through Stablepoint, or you can purchase one from another provider and point the nameservers on that.

Once the migration is completed, we'll let you know it's time to switch over the nameservers. If the domain is transferred to us, we can change them for you. Once you're happy that everything has been transferred over and the site is working OK, you can then cancel your service with your old provider. You'll now be fully live with Stablepoint!

We can usually start straight away, however if there is a larger volume of requests or your previous host has a very slow server, it may take some time. If you need a migration done at a specific time please schedule it with us at least 24h before.

Yes, we can migrate email accounts. If your current host uses cPanel we can take an automated backup and restore that as is. Email account passwords will remain the same and we do not need to know them.

If you use a proprietary control panel we can migrate emails using an IMAP sync. It is similar to creating two mailboxes in a mail client and dragging them (but automatic). For this method we will need to know a list of email accounts and passwords. Alternatively, we also give you access to do these mail migrations yourself.

Through CloudLinux we provide patched versions of historic PHP versions, and also the latest stable versions. This means you can run everything from PHP 5.2 to PHP 8.
