How to restore your database or files using JetBackup.

Posted 31st July, 2019

In this article, we will cover the steps needed for one of the two components around your website to be restored.

Login to your cPanel account and click on the "JetBackup" icon, that's under the "Files" tab or use the search function in the top right hand side of the cPanel. Click File BackupsRestore Selected. The system will then proceed to add the restore to a queue, restoring usually takes a minute or two but could be longer if you have a very large site. Once completed, you will see a message that it has finished.

After restoring the site files, you may also need to restore the database as well. On the JetBackup page, click 'Database Backups'. On the next page you'll see a list of databases and their available restore dates. You can tick the box next to the database and restore data and then click 'Restore Selected' at the bottom to restore a specific database backup. You can also click 'Generate Download' to get a copy of a database from a specific date, e.g. for safekeeping.
